This Wonderful Game Of Love

"Once upon a time there were a King and a Queen..."
And you know how it goes in fairy-tales, they belonged to the opposite sides of the desk. But that the fairy-tales are for - to break the rules. And love... isn't it a fairy-tale?

"Жили-были Король и Королева..."
И, как это часто случается в сказках, они находились по разным сторонам игрового поля. Но на то они и сказки, что-бы диктовать свои правила игры. А ведь любовь - это та самая сказка...

Drill down to see its back side...

  1. Is that a jewish crusader and a jewish princess? On the side where the groom holds the club the bride should have a black eye.

Actually this is awesome. Jewish letters a ridiculously beautiful.
Just one question. Where did he do the club on the back?

    1. I wonder if the chess pieces represent the family members?

    2. The black eye will be according to Russian standards. According to Jewish ones - it's more likely the black eye will appear on the opposite side.

    3. that's where the shield comes into play

    4. It seems that Russian crusaders overlooked this point: the shield doesn't cover the eyes.

    5. It does actually if you lift it real high. But in doing so you expose other vital parts of man's body.

    6. Do you want to say, that other vital parts of men's body are more important then the eyes, that's why they don't deserve the same protection at the first place? :)

    7. It's personal choise of every individual what part of the body to protect in the first place. I guess that depends on their life goals. If you are young and single you should hold that shield nice and low. But if you are married... with children... protect the eyes for heaven's sake!

By the way, why the Jewish letters are beautiful "ridiculously"? They have 5000 years of polishing

    3. because of how easy it is: if you are jewish and you need to decorate something, all you have to do is to write something on it.

    4. The tragedy is that there are hardly seven million people all over the world who know this language, other 6 billion will not understand a word of this decoration...

    5. Including your obedient servant. That's why it is called decoration. For most fine judges of fine art it carries no appeal other then aesthatic.
